And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and fellowship,

to the breaking of bread and the prayers.

Small Groups

The Small Group Ministry of EFCMM exists to help the church be the church.  By that we mean to illustrate our belief that the church is not its services, ministries, programs, and events-- it is all the believers together as the body of Christ who are to be building each other up in the faith.

While our primary expression of the body is the entire congregation gathered together around the preaching of the Word of God and the observance of his ordinances, we know that the Sunday morning worship service is not a complete picture of the life of the church.  We have designed small groups to help fill the need for personal ministry within the church.

In the fall of each year we offer several small groups that vary according to their leaders, study topic, and place of meeting.  The congregation is then able to sign up for the group in which they wish to participate for that year.

These groups then meet in a home of one of the group members on Sunday nights, usually twice a month during the school year.  There is time to get to know one another, to pray for each other's needs and concerns, to study the Bible together, and to share good food.  Child care is also provided at the location of the group.  There are groups meeting throughout the area, so if you would like to join a group, contact Pastor Bruce McKanna to learn more.
